J.L. Gore was founded in 1992 by Jeff Gore as a strategic planning and strategic project management consultancy serving the independent telecommunications industry. Over the last 24 years, Jeff and his associates have worked with many closely-held and family-owned companies.  Our clients have generally had less than 250 employees and been primarily but not exclusively in the Independent Telephone, Corrugated Packaging, Equipment Manufacturing, and Banking industries. Jeff has taken hiatus several times to participate in starting other businesses and to serve as an executive for Data Technology, Inc and Gerber Scientific, but consulting is his first love. 

Jeff very much enjoys helping clients achieve their potential by better organizing their planning and implementation efforts and tightening their focus. Modern strategic planning and project management techniques can yield tremendous results for smaller, closely-held companies, but we believe the approach must be customized for the individual needs of each client.
